ABOUT US
Edu-Futuro is a 501(c)(3) founded in 1998 based in Arlington, City of Alexandria, Fairfax and Prince William Counties. Our mission is to empower vulnerable youth and families through mentorship, education, leadership development, parent engagement, and workforce development.; the work of Edu-Futuro is focused on breaking the cycle of poverty through the power of education. Each year, we serve nearly 4,000 youth and adults, providing students with a path to high school graduation and college enrollment through the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) and Chronic Absenteeism Program (CAP), while simultaneously training and inspiring their parents through our Parent Empowerment Services (PES) and Workforce Development Services (WDS). Our programs are open to all students and parents in Northern Virginia, and every one of our services is provided completely free of charge.
ABOUT THE SOCCER TOURNAMENT
The tournament format is group round robin. The top four teams from each group go to semifinals. We will have 16 teams total. Each team can have four or five players, with four players playing at one time. No goalkeeper. Teams will be guaranteed to play three matches. There will be four groups and game points are based on wins (3), ties (1), or losses (0). Each game is 14 minutes long.
Play, have fun, and support a great cause. All proceeds will be used to support Edu-Futuro’s programs, operations, and mission.
As a sponsor, you will have the opportunity to promote your organization and engage employees through a fun, morale-boosting activity, while supporting the local community.
This year's event will provide critical support for our life-changing, Two-Generation programs during a time of increasingly limited resources for community-serving nonprofits like ours.
Direct Impact: 100% of tournament proceeds will fund our mission to empower our youth and families through education, leadership development, parent engagement, individual case management, and workforce development.
Proven Results: Previous sponsorships helped us provide 5,000+ services to students and parents across Northern Virginia--including 69 graduates of our Emerging Leaders Program, who received a combined total of more than $6.5 million in scholarship and financial aid offers for their four-year college education.
